You guys are in my thoughts and prayers as you plow through this next "speed bump". I know that this won't keep you down for long and I can't wait to hear that you are off and running and doing what you love again. I'm so glad that I was able to see you guys when I was in town. In my time working there, you created such a positive influence in my life and it feels strange not to be there to help you get through this. I have complete faith that Kevin will do everything in his power to take care of all the "things" that need to be tended to while you recover. I await word of your successful surgery!! And to Nancy, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Dear Jim and Nancy We will be fasting and praying tomorrow through the final stage of your healing as the other stages of mind and soul healing are so blatantly evident in all that you have become over the last few weeks. Your words and communications have found new chords with greater vibration and effect than ever before. (It would be like trying to describe a symphony trying to explain it). It feels as if our Father has never been closer to you before – nor you to Him and it is such a privilege to read your writings. Dear Nancy and Jim, Thank you so much for your inspiring updates. Everyone of them is full of faith, devotion and teachings. What words would ever be able to describe my gratitude for belonging to the N21 family and have such an extraordinary couple at it's helm. How your example of faith and trust in our Lord has changed and enriched my life for the past few months. Dear Jim & Nancy. As many have noted, we have just had some great N21 leaders at our national convention here in South Africa, including Dave who was a real blessing. As you enter this last day in preperation for your surgery tomorrow the well known scripture comes to mind as encouragement: Trust the Lord with all yourheart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your path straight. Prov 3:5-6 We pray for great success in the surgery and for God to guide the doctors and give you strengh all the way to a brilliant & fast complete recovery! Praying for you! God Bless you.

Happy B'Day Nanc! You look awesome for 70 years of age. Oh how I wish I could hear you screaming at me now .... "Keeeeener!". Not sure if we should pray more for Jim or the nurses. What a journey you've had .... and this chapter has created depth you didn't know you had .... my dad used to say you don't have to go outside your country to be a missionary, you just have to go outside yourself. Jim, Nancy and all the Dornan family, Thanks for sharing some info about your pending surgery and the journey to date. It goes without saying that our prayers are with you and we ask that God guide the hands, eyes, minds and hearts of all involved and that your recovery be smooth and complete. Recently Colleen passed her 2nd year anniversary of her cancer surgery and in updating her website similar to yours asked all who followed her journey and prayed for her to not only continue to pray for her but to also add you and your family to their prayers. You have already found that this "paying it forward" is very much a part of the journey. We hope that these few words make your journey just that little more easy and comforting as it did Colleen's - "the fight against cancer is primarily fought between your ears.". Jim, there are no doubt many who would love to hug you, cry with you and laugh with you and assure you all will be OK. And while you have Nancy and the family there for that physical purpose, even we draw inspiration and comfort that your closeness with the Lord will in fact envelope you in the His love and it will carry you through. Dear Jim & Nancy, I was praying so hard that you would be in remission without having to have surgery. I recall your writing about the way the doctors have a tendency to communicate the worst case scenero. I am very familier with that too, as I am a mouth cancer survivor now in remission. My surgery was 12 hours and it was definitely longer for my family then for me. So you & your family remain in my prayers. You are going to make it through this because the Lord isn't finished wtih you yet. You are so blessed to have your family & network of friends. Thank you for your commitment to all of us.

Dear Jim and Nancy, we continue to stand and agree with you in prayer and believe for a total healing and wisdom for the doctors. Janet went through breast cancer 2 years ago and has been clear for 18 months now. She was diagnosed literally a few days before Go Diamond in SA 2 years ago. You didn't know it at the time, but she received much encouragement from the Bible study Nancy held in her room that year. Bless you both. There were many tears, but also much joy at the end of the journey. "All things work out for good, for those who love Him". It's true! We so much appreciated David this year. He has grown "in wisdom and stature" immensely. RD was "John Maxwell the 2nd" and his talks and heart for NOC will have a lasting impact. Peter, Glenda and Basil did what they all do so well. What an amazing time. We missed you both but our love and prayers extend across the miles.

Dear Jim and Nancy, We thank you both for your latest updates. We remain confident that God is working great things in you and through you, even with your upcoming surgery. God continues to use you mightily for His glory. As a family, we all continue to pray for your protection, full healing and wonderful recovery. It's sensational that in your updates you continue to speak of your blessings and gratitude, 'Mr and Mrs Joy'. Coincidentally (or maybe not), I opened up my Girlfriends in God Devotional today, written by Mary Southerland, and guess what?! It was totally devoted to the subject of JOY. It's titled, 'Laugh It Up!' It read: “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10, NKJV). 'An abundant life is a life filled with joy. Jesus lived and died so that we can experience abundant life. Jesus did not come so that we can merely survive life. Even in the midst of a joy-less world, we can live a joy-filled life for one simple reason – God is in control. And because He is in control, we are promised, “the cheerful heart has a continual feast” (Proverbs 15:15 NIV). Life should be an ongoing celebration.' And bless you both, Jim and Nanc - you live this principle daily! Mary Southerland goes on to say: 'Laughter and joy are treasures from God, valuable to us for many reasons. 1. Joy heals. Proverbs 17:22 “A happy heart is like good medicine, but a broken spirit drains your strength.” Doctors actually prescribe laughter for their patients. Why? Because they discovered what Scripture has said for thousands of years - laughter heals. Studies show that laughter: Exercises lungs Increases circulation Controls pain Reduces tension Strengthens immune systems In other words, God created us to illustrate the truth, that if we laugh more days, we will have more days to laugh. Joy heals. 2. Joy makes us strong. Nehemiah 8:10 “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” Joy – humor – laughter – all cultivate inner strength that operates beyond our own human abilities. The joy of the Lord in us will produce His strength through us. A life without joy is like a car without shock absorbers. It will be jolted by every bump in the road. Laughter and joy are the shock-absorbers of life and can radically change our perspective of life and the tough times it holds. 3. Joy makes the ordinary special. Someone said, “If you have to move ten inches from where you are now to be happy, then you will never be truly happy.” As we learn to celebrate the ordinary things in life, we build a life of joy because it is against the backdrop of the ordinary that God’s work becomes extraordinary.' And what a stunning, beautiful family the Dornan family truly is! A shining example of not only sharing so much joy and laughter together...but also sharing it with so, so many others around the world! How precious it is, that you repeatedly and actively demonstrate, that by placing your full trust in the Lord, you can have joy in your lives, even during the challenging times. Dear Jim & Nancy, We love you, we need you and we pray for your success in this challenge. We read today your last update and once again we are happy to see that you are looking awesome. Praised be the Lord! And we thought and meditated to our favorite Bible verses - The Favorite One - Matthew 9; 27-30 - which says: "And when Jesus departed than, two blind men followed him saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us. And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him and Jesus said to them: Do you believe I am able to do this? They said to him: Yes Lord. Then He touched their eyes, saying: ACCORDING TO YOUR FAITH BE IT TO YOU! And their eyes were opened..." What an excellent example of what Faith can do for us. Not Jesus healed their eyes, but their faith in his Power healed them. Those words are the strongest ones in our lives - ACCORDING TO YOUR FAITH BE IT TO YOU! - because it is working - as you said - in every aspects of our existence; work and family and health, etc. According with those verses, we strongly believe that your extraordinary faith and all the faith of every person which love you and pray for you, will brings you back to us, because Our Lord in His All Wisdom knows that we, all of us from your big family - Network XXI - need your presence, your guidance, your model and your unconditioned faith in human goodness and potential. We are grateful for next Weekend Seminars when we will celebrate your return for the glory of His name. We love you, we need you and we will pray for you. God Bless you and all your family!

Dear Jim and Nancy, You have inspired me for many years by you life, your integrity, and joy. I pray that God provides his miracle of complete healing. I believe in his complete power. But I don't know when he chooses to do so. So in the meantime I share with you this: Dr Buchinger who is a 3rd generation physician at the clinic in Germany where I stay to fast this month (fasting is not good for cancer but pretty much everything else) gave me a book of Californian Dr Michael E Platt "The Miracles of Bioidentical Hormones". I was going to mail it but since you are in Houston you might value more downloading it of his website right away. Dr Platt's mother died of breast cancer and so he went on a search to prevent illness and disease. The patients stories are sad accounts of how traditional medicine can go wrong , not on purpose. And I am not saying anything about Jim's cancer journey, i know he gets the best to knowledge. All I want is him healthy and your family without pain again. I have no idea about cancer and I am no doctor and the book does not speak about esoph cancer but maybe, just maybe the cancer causing hormone imbalance mentioned in this book for other cancers might be a missing link to recover without surgery. Dearest Jim and Nancy, I am super blessed by you two, especially considering the trials you're going through right now. I praise God for your edifying walk and would like to thank you for the encouragement and lessons that you share with us all. Nancy, I somewhat understand what you are going through. My husband had a heart bypass a few years ago. He was always the strong one (and the healthier one) in the family. Then all of a sudden, I had to be the strong one for him and for our family. I only got through that because of God's faithful provision for strength, grace, and all that I needed. My husband & I came out of that testing with another "faith builder" in our lives. By His grace, we are getting more in-tuned with heaven's notes, Jim. It blesses me to think of what's available to a child of God for daily living, whether in stormy weather or good days. Even now, I get teary-eyed when the words "Inner Resources" are mentioned, because I know that as God's children we have everything we need through Christ Jesus our Lord. And I remember Psalm 1:1-3, which is a perfect picture of those words. It says: Blessed is the one...whose delight is in the law of the LORD.... That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither...." Wow! Being connected to the Source enables us to live lives that make a difference for His glory all the time. Lastly, I want to share that someone paraphrased Psalm 37:23 saying: "The steps (and stops) of a righteous man are ordered by the LORD." I'm so grateful and encouraged to know that the steps of the righteous - even their "stops" are ordained by God. Dear Jim and Nancy, I am relatively new to the Amway business having only attended my first National Conference last October. It changed my life and my way of thinking, and I must thank, you, David and Jules for doing that. It is especially sad for me to hear of Jim's diagnosis, but I have been reading thru his entries, and being a nurse I know that a positive attitude is half the battle won. I realize that you are under the best medical care and surrounded by family and friends with far more influence and history with you than I have, but I wanted you to know if there is any practical way I can help, I would be honored to do so. A journey through the strange and frightening medical world can be a daunting prospect and if there is anything I can do to help ease that journey for you, anything I can follow up for you, and information I can help you gain/find please don't hesitate to ask. You mentioned you may be facing surgery, I am a Theatre Nurse and know the challenge you may possibly be facing. Once again if I can help in any real way, please let me know. Dear Jim, I feel I need to share Jesus' message with you on healing. I have read the most amazing book ever and since then I just want to give my all to our Lord!! The following piece was something I read from the 31 day Devotional Book I am reading and the Spirit of God showed me that I need to share it with you! You know, one of the biggest outcries against Mel Gibson’s movie, The Passion of the Christ, was that it was too violent, especially the part where Jesus was scourged. Let me tell you this: It was not violent enough! The Bible says that at the cross, Jesus’ visage was marred (damaged) beyond that of any man. (Isaiah 52:14) In the movie, even after all the beatings, the actor James Caviezel who played Jesus, still looked quite handsome. But the reality is that when Jesus hang on the cross, He had “no form of comeliness… there is no beauty that we should desire Him (Isaiah 53:2). Jesus was beaten to a pulp until His face looked like jelly hanging out!! In the movie when they scourged Him, only a small portion of His bones was exposed, so it was still quit tidy. But the messianic psalms say:” The plowers plowed on my back, they made their furrows long” (Psalm 129:3), and I can count all my bones. They look and stare at Me. (Psalm 22:17). All His bones were exposed. My friend, He was thinking of you when the soldiers tied Him to the tormenting post. As they raise their whips, He said, “Let it all come on Me”! But what came on our precious Jesus was not just the whip of stripping the flesh of His back, but YOUR sickness and diseases. Each time He was whipped, every form of sickness and disease, including heart disease, cancer, arthritis, cancer, diabetes and any kind of sickness came upon Him!!! The chastisement (punishment) of our peace was upon Him, and by HIS stripes YOU and I are healed!! TODAY, HEALING IS YOUR RIGHT, BECAUSE JESUS HAS PAID THE PRICE FOR YOUR HEALING. SO IF THE DEVIL SAYS THAT YOU CANNOT BE HEALED, JUST DECLARE THAT JESUS HAS PAID FOR MY HEALING. DISEASE HAS NO RIGHT IN MY BODY AND I AM HEALED IN JESUS’ NAME!!! Every curse of sickness that was supposed to fall on you, fell on Jesus instead. He bore every one of those of stripes, so that you can walk in divine life. The price has been paid so that you can rise up and get out of your bed of affliction (illness & sickness)!!

Hi Jim&Nancy, love getting your updates, you are in our thoughts and prayers everyday. You continue to be such an amazing teacher even when you are faced with such obstacles. I feel a little bold saying this but when I read your updates I hear you growing through this, at an amazing rate, I thought you were awesome before, I know its not the best way to get wisdom, but I saw the same in my daughter and she celebrated her 7 years the other day. They are watching what your reaction is. What I have seen is a great man leading by what he preaches. The biggest prize is when people actually start doing what you did. Dear Jim, Gary and I are delighted to read your latest update and to see that you are doing so well. We are keeping a prayer for you in our hearts. I have read half of the posts in your guest book, the odd pages, and plan to go back and read the even number pages soon. One poster recommended that you look into natural remedies, such as Chinese medicine, for further treatment. About twenty years ago, I attended a regional Nutrilite training seminar sponsored by local Amway people, and met Dr. Larry Jordan and Dr. Stephen Levine. Dr. Jordan was a corporate nutrition consultant, and Dr. Levine founded Allergy Research Group/Nutricology. Several years ago, ARG put out a new product, formulated from bindweed extract, which has been shown to be effective in treating cancers without the nasty side effects of chemo and radiation. You have chosen to go the traditional medicine route, however, this product, professional name, PGM, has put even pancreatic cancer into remission. The PGM was used with antioxidants and another product, MPGC, and immune booster. You can reach ARG at (800) 545-9960 and Dr. Levine remains a consultant to the company at this time. Dr. Jordan is known to IBO's in the Strehli group. I like to think of bindweed as "nature's chemotherapy". This might been the "cure" you are praying for.

Jim and Nancy: Joan and I were at Don and Julie Osborne's house last night in Upland to see Mike Wilson who we have not seen for many years. That was truly a wonderful time. As I always do I asked how you and all your family are doing, and Mike told me about your battle with cancer. I was shocked to say the least, but we will pray for you every day. God does amazing things and we know you are a fighter for sure and you can win this battle. We are still in the Amway business as a wholesale buyer and will never give this up. I am retired from Bank of America and now selling Real Estate with Keller Williams Realty in Corona. Joan is a Nursing instructor at LA County USC Medical Center, and our family is great and we now have 7 grandchildren. You and Nancy have been a huge inspiration for us and we love you and all you have meant to us and our family. The best thing about knowing you and all our other Amway friends is that you all are friends and family for life! That is the most precious thing any one can have. What you and Nancy have accomplished is truly amazing and God has richly blessed you in so many ways, and I know he will continue to do so. We Love You and wish you the best for a great recovery. Dear Jim and Nancy, Thank you for your most recent message! There is SO much contained in it, that we have been re-reading it and discovering something new each time. The list of books you provided is wonderful to have as well. As for the Bible, there might be some who are so ill that reading is not possible. Or, there might be others, like ourselves, who also find value in hearing the Bible read aloud. There is a 'verse of the day' at http://www.biblegateway.com/ that we like to listen to daily. Dear Mr. Dornan: You continue to inspire me everytime I hear you in CDs, conferences or read your powerful words. Your words of encouragement duplicate in my special ed classroom to my students who are autistic, learning disabled and ones who have emotional problems. My husband, also a teacher brings your encouraging words to the classroom by having positive slogans posted on his classroom walls. Finding another vehicle to help with basic school supplies has been a true blessing. This vehicle has enhanced our teaching and through healthpointe we can help parents, teachers and students live and feel healthy.
