Hi Jim and Nancy,
For the last week we have been reading and re-reading your wonderful comforting letter Jim. Yes we all thought our prayers would have been aswered and you would get the best of news from your last tests. Your bravery and faith by sharing of this latest news has given so many, including ourselves. a lasting reminder of the amazing leadership you so freely give. In doing this you are teaching us all how to face the challenges of our individual journeys, as you have done, by thinking of others first in our words and actions, and thereby giving courage to others. As the back cover of John Maxwell's The Right to Lead states. A leader KNOWS the way, GOES the way, and SHOWS the way. Jim and Nancy, you again have proved your love and leadership even more in the past six months by knowing, going and showing your understanding of how others are feeling and by keeping in touch with us all. Who else would have responded in this way, writing words of faith, love and comfort to lift the readers, on the plane back home so soon after receiving the news. So very few would have had the strength of spirit. (Everyone is so pleased you have that plane).
Martin Luther King Jn wrote: The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge.
For those of us who may not have achieved our dreams to spend time with you yet, have neverthe less felt very close to you and your family in our thoughts and prayers, and very proud that we are lead by leaders of such measure.
Your letters have been shared with people who had never heard of you before. Shown to church leaders to inspire them, and also those who are also suffering right now, so it would be great if the letters could be part of your next book for the world to share. Can't wait for the one you have written with John Maxwell, but for us, your letters have been your greatest work of influence to date. We wish you had not had to go through, and still have to go through the next stage in your recovery, but hopefully the response to your letters will give you back some of the comfort you want to give us,and remind you how much you and the family are loved and respected.
It has taken a week to think of the right words to respond to your last letter, and still not got all the feelings down. But, probably all we needed to write,( and you even gave us the clue to this too) is yes, of course we are with you all.
Godbless you and give you strength over the next course of treatments. Thank you for everything.

We have missed your leadership, inspiration and heart at the last two weekends and miss your presence even more here in Hawaii. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with you on your latest detour but we know you will travel this road with the same determination and strength from God which have carried you to this point in your life journey so far. While you know what is best for you, we can't help but feel that if time permits before your next round of treatments, that some of the best medicine you could receive might be to surround yourself with the love, friendship and healing power of hundreds of your friends here in Hawaii. I have some friends, one that has successfully recovered from throat cancer after being given 6 weeks to live and another that is currently fighting cancer for a tumor in his head, the tumor has reduced dramatically and all pain has gone.
They are both seeing Dr Chen, +612 9807 8688. This doctor is highly respected chinese oncologist, he uses chinese herbs, acupuncture and a very specific diet to starve the cancer.

I'm sorry to hear of your recent challenges. This is your downline from the Cleveland area, the one who felt led here to meet my soul mate. The one in Tim & Bev Held's organization. I had posted a while back. There is a very good spiritual analogy that a friend of mine wrote about in his book. My friend, Troy Parkinson, is a professional medium & has written Bridge to the Afterlife. In the preface of his book, Troy talks about our coming down from heaven for this life journey being like skydiving out of an airplane.

Dear Jim and Nancy, you are like family to me. I can not wait the time when you say that you are in excellent health. I did some research about cancer, and I found very interesting facts. I strongly believe that is 100%curablele. I found the Gerson Institute in Mexico and also a good doctor in Romania, dr Calin Marginean, that recovers 100% people with stages 1 and 2, and a very good rate for stage 4 of cancer. We can beat this.

As we receive your latest news and take the time to reflect and pray some more, we are led to a beautiful verse in Psalm 52:8 which reads: "I am like a flourishing olive tree in the house of God; I trust in God's faithful love forever and ever." And from here, onto Beth Moore who writes, "I believe God can do anything His word says He can. I don't have to assume He doesn't answer my prayers.... Instead, I get to know that a greater yes is in progress, and I can count on the bigger miracle. We are safe with God - free to believe He is who He says He is and can do what He says He can. Neither His dignity or ours is at stake. We are safe with Him because we are His priority." And this reminder comforts us as we continue to lift you, our respected Jim and Nancy and your precious children and grandchildren, to our mighty Lord, and Saviour.
We admire and respect how you remain truly faithful even whilst challenged, and how even though you may be tired, you find rest in the Lord. And through this we remember God's promise in Matthew 11:28, "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Thankfully, even though we live in a world that constantly changes, God's love remains constant. We love that He is always ready to strengthen us and comfort us, whenever we turn to Him.

I pray to the Holy Spirit that He will come down upon you and heal you and help us to comprehend this detour. Understanding God's time is very difficult. A young priest once told me that it is time outside of time as we know it. Over the last 6-8 months my husband, my daughter and I are changed people. We are not the same because of a decision we made to start this business and to link into the system. I've been following your story since last year. You continue to inspire me and for this I am so grateful. You are an amazing GIFT. As I think of you now I visualize your illness and the cancel cell in all its wounded horror but I also visualize a golden light enveloping the cell and transforming it from darkness into light. While we too are disappointed to hear of your “interruptions” and detours, as you say, God has his reasons. It could have been as simple as the extra prayer needed for the lady with breast, kidney and leukemia cancer. Or it could be one or many things that come as a result of your being in Houston, or the delay in your re-entry into our business lives.
But whatever God has in mind, we continue to be inspired by your comments and prayer, and gives us pause to pray that bit more frequently and with more concentration and quest for how we can better our lives for His good.

I lost my dad, dead because of cancer 15 years ago.
I was treated of TB 24 years ago and my liver was poisoned with a lot of strong medicines.

Jim and Nancy, so good to hear your progress. I wonder if you have ever used essential essences/oils (these have been around since biblical times). There are several that work wonders with digestion, you just apply them to the abdomen and they do the work for you. I use medicinal grade essences which can also be ingested. Don't ask me why..............but for some reason your name popped into my mind a few short hours ago, well I do know it was God who put it there ( I was once in Amway and Network 21, and it was through hearing you and the team talk about Jesus as a personal friend that helped me on my route in finding a true relationship with Jesus, and now I am on the leadership of my local Church).
Anyway your name just hit me, but as I was doing some client work I kind of pushed it away, but minutes later it came back, so I typed in N21 and saw some some threads which made me think something was wrong, so I prayed a prayer of protection around you and your family.
Then I came across, this site and I was stunned, shocked and just read through your blog. It is a real blessing to see you writing and even through your sickness proclaiming, the name of Jesus. And also wonderful to see those powerful scriptures you are using, thank you.
And for me it is fantastic to see the pictures of your beautiful family. Yes I had seen pictures of You, Nancy, Heather, David, and Eric - all a lot younger in the Amagram Magazine. And I used to hear all about Ashley Kate on the tapes and then CD's, never a month would go by without us having an update on her, from the moment she was born.
Then we heard all about the tricks Eric got up to with his power soccer, skiing trips. Then all about David how he had the Phone call to work in a Christian Ministry.
During this time I was going through a very rough time, and you were my family and even though I never saw, met or spoke with you, you all were very real to me, and I can never ever thank you for what you have done in my life.
Sorry about the long post, and I hope all is well with you. I shall be praying for you on a regular (daily) basis and will keep coming back to this blog.

Jim & Nancy, we just got back to Kuala Lumpur from the Asia Pacific Go Diamond in Pattaya. It felt really strange without you both but even though you weren't physically there we could feel your presence. It was a time of reflection as all the leaders speaking shared a bit of history that made up their journey in the business. Suphat honored his brother and sponsor Suwat by telling us how they built the business in the early days without N21. Mitch, who's normally got me smiling with his dry sense of humor, had me in tears when he talked about how he got fired, just because he showed his boss how to be free. Robert's lovely new bride Sonya is such a welcome addition to the N21 family with her joyful enthusiasm (and beautiful voice!). Robert's struggle to express his feelings about how Mitch and Deidre have been by his side through good, bad and terrible times - It was a very emotional time. Mike Wilson got it right when he said how we take you both for granted. You have really blessed us all with this incredible gift you have given the world - the Network 21 family with its principles, code of ethics, and unconditional love for all. Thank you so very much. Dear Jim, Your recovery is very "impressive" indeed. I am overjoyed at the positive answer to our prayers and that our will for your recovery is also God's will. I can empathize with you about the patience we must realize during this recovery process (I am personally familiar). There is no doubt in my mind that God wants you to continue on your journey of helping and motivating others to realize their dreams and goals. I loved what you wrote at the end of your update in regards to what an effective leader is in God's eyes. 4 years ago I decided to build this business - and it was after I went to my first National Convention. When I was there I heard you and Nancy speak on the stage and I saw how much God had an influence and participation in yours and her life. You both shared about your faith and your vision for the future based on a solid foundation. I saw and felt God's presence all over it and therefore I wanted to be a part of it.
I have been on an amazing journey and I still feel I am crawling but as you said if I keep putting God first in everything I do and remain obedient to Him, the fruit of His work through me will be used for good.

Life is certainly not all plain sailing, it is full of highs and lows but as you say Jim there is always something good to thank God for. Dear Jim. Leadership is a process isn't it? Thru thick and thin, both as an individual and as an entrepreneur, you have been a steady beacon of integrity for millions around the world. There is no word to describe the power of the common culture you "designed" that people are embracing by choice to achieve who they really want to become. Persistence, love, humility, kindness, dedication, understanding, loyalty, family bond, ethical values, trust, belief and other values are demonstrated by you during your recent "challenge" made public (and many others we are not aware of I am quite sure!) so that we can learn by your example. It is a process for each and every one who chooses this path. YOU both do and EMBODY all the above traits. All N21 leaders in Greece are admirable, strong and so connected, so unified..AMWAY's philosophy and N21 are the most unique blend of the best characteristics of achievers, fighters..winners. Like you have won this time. After all, winning is only about putting your foot forward, even if you ARE afraid...! And you did overcome that. I know parts of this entry may not seem relevant to recovery wishes, but this is just a note from an ex-21%, current yo-yo 9% XYZ%..and as you say YOU DO IT...I'm sure I will feel liberated then...that DAY will be one step closer to you and your family. As always, it is a blessing to read your words Jim. I really appreciate your openness and honesty regarding the "down days". How transparent is that… and, reflects the humanness that God has given us all.
I was reading from Mark 1:32-39 this week where it reflects on not only the need for service but also for solitude as Jesus did. While you certainly haven't had solitude with all the medical teams around you, I guess there have been times of solitude of thought. You have been in such a position of incredible service to others over the years. And while this current time would not have been chosen by you, it has been a time, just like Jesus, that there is time to reflect and through your updates, you still continue to serve others. Jesus figured that if he was to do any good with people, he must first get his power, his wisdom, his marching orders from his Father. And this requires solitude. We can’t effectively serve others unless we find time for some aloneness with God. We can’t engage fruitfully unless we disengage –either intentionally or not. Solitude, in this sense, is not at all self-indulgent. It offers us breathing space, a place to locate ourselves and be energised for service.
I have recently sought this time as I reflect on my life and ask what He has planned for me. Like you, I know his fingerprint is on our lives – regardless of unforeseen twists and turns. A gentle hand …a serving Guide. God bless you and Nancy as you continue to acknowledge His presence. May your health continue to improve….AND I love the photos of your beautiful family!

Thank you for your incredible transparency as you described what happens in the Battlefield of the Mind. Your experiences of feeling "sad, frustrated, and impatient" are totally understandable considering what you have been through, and what you continue to handle! This is probably also how so many people feel who get up in the morning, knowing that they're going to a job they despise. It's great to have a business that can help solve the job thing, which you have done for people all over the world! And now you're helping others come through their health challenges too.

After reading a passage called 'The Measure' by Roy Lessin; it made us think of you, as you fully (and rightfully) allow our Lord to be the measure of all things in your lives.
This is what it says:

I have to confess that I am currently in church, in the back row, typing on my phone. Haha! I normally wouldn't do that but you and the family are so heavy on my mind and heart right now after reading your blog this morning.
As I read your posts and pray for your healing, I am so very uplifted and encourage by your bravery, your strength, and your willingness to "go through the fire" so that you can fulfill Gods ultimate plan and purpose for your life.
All around me There are people in my life who's "problems" throw them into a downward spiral of depression and self-pity. They don't seem to realize the great opportunity they are letting slip through their fingertips. I am astounded by your attitude and your desire to give God all the glory and praise He deserves as a result of your pain and suffering.
I know that you have some idea of the impact your journey is having on the world, but I am certain that you don't know the impact it has had on my own life and the journey I have been on the last few months. So much change that it hurts! (the best kind of change) Reading your encouraging posts has literally pulled me through. I look at my "issues" and then I see my choices on how I could deal with them. Then God reminds me of you and I begin to think of how I can use the situations in my life to glorify God and help other people through their struggles.
I can honestly say that I would NEVER have become who I am today without the Leaders of Network 21...mainly you, Nancy, Skip and Susan. Words can't begin to express my gratefulness to God for placing likeminded people in my path. People who strive daily to show love to those around them and encourage even this they've barely met. I k ow one day I'll be able to tell you in person just how much you've impacted my life.
Now.... Here are a few scripture verses that have pulled me through and hopefully I can pass some of the encouragement I've received back to you...

I have personally witnessed the healing power of God in my father who was given 4 months to live ( 7 years ago ), he is totally clear and fitter than ever at the age of 70.

As I read each update from you and the messages from everyone in the N21 family, I hear Nancy's words "colour me grateful" constantly in my mind. You are both so inspirational to us! Each day we say 'colour us grateful' for being part of your journey and of the N21 family and so I thought I'd share three 'colours' with you: Blue: it reminds me of you Jim, because light blue is associated with health, healing, tranquility, understanding, and softness, whilst dark blue represents knowledge, power, integrity, and seriousness. Orange reminds me of Nancy because it is a healing colour, it stimulates enthusiasm and creativity and means vitality with endurance. Curiosity is a driving characteristic of orange, and with it comes exploration of new things. Finally green (for you both and for the N21 family): it contains the powerful energies of nature, growth, desire to expand or increase. Balance and a sense of order are found in the colour green. Change and transformation is necessary for growth, and so this ability to sustain changes is also a part of the energy of green. As ones who know the shock of a big "C" diagnosis, we are thrilled at your progress. We liken it to the runaway truck ramps in the mountains, where if brakes go out or some other malfunction happens, a trucker can avoid disaster by turning into this deep gravel "pit" and not collide with traffic or run off the side of the mountain. It costs a lot of money and a lot of time to free the trucker and his rig, but both are saved. So it is with cancer and its treatment. Be assured we are on your prayer team. We look forward to seeing you face to face again. Joy and blessings. We love you and yours.

I really love your positiv attitude and still when it seems hard you have a great sense of humor, and the pics at you are astonishing, you look as a other day at office? To be honest I can't imagine what you gooing through right now! Since you went in to be a hospital guest, my sister she´s 47 did the same and her cancer is in liver and lung and they stopped chemotheraphy treatment on her now! I've told her to order and eat large amount of C-vitamins as she can, to fight the "evil cells". Visited her this weekend and boy did I cry out loud in my car on my way home! I'm turning the web world up side down now to find some cure. There is a guy in Nevada that have survival rate of 65% on what doctors has "ruled out" as hopeless cases!
He is using something called Poly-MVA on the patience there! Very expensive but very effective as well it seems. Well I certainly hope that sience soon finds cure on these "evil" malignant cells! All that is left is to pray that miracles appear in one way or a other.
Best medicine is to be and keep a positive attitude as you do Sir. Hope to see you soon again Sir which allways is very inspriring experinence. Hugs Gerhard and spouse.
