Jim and Nancy: I like you was shocked on hearing of Jim's diagnosis. I am a cancer survivor, prostate cancer, a different animal than yours, but still cancer. I became a true Christian in Nov. 2004, having lived most of my life just going through the motions. In 2006, having reached a bottom in my life, God sent His Peace to dwell in me. That has never left and when I got my diagnosis of cancer, I was surprised, but it didn't derail me. After consultations, I chose surgical treatment and now I am surgically cured.
Two pieces of advice: 1) Ask questions until you fully understand what it is the doctors want to do, and 2) Continue to approach life and the curve balls the world (satan) throws at you with a positive attitude. This you have and with God standing along side of you, holding your hand that Nancy is not holding, you are going to come through this in flying colors. I have no doubt. God is on your side!

Glory to the Most High God whom we worship & serve through Jesus the Christ, His Anointed One and His precious Holy Spirit! Make mistakes as to Whom we refer to and trust for everything and in every situation! Dan & I rejoice in your faithfulness & that of your family's! This is the faith that pleases God, per His word in Hebrews 11 & Romans 8! How easy it is for us to intercede for you all at this time, knowing where you stand in your relationship with the God, the owner of the universe; the One who created every one of us! We're blessed to be under one of the world's greatest faith teacher, Dr. Frederick Price, whom even Dr. Yongi Cho traveled from Korea to come and meet personally! Dr. Price & his family fought @ woman similar battle over 22 yrs ago when the enemy attacked his wife, Dr. Betty with a life threatening cancer that few recover from. The enemy's tactics don't change- same liar & deceiver- attack the best at what they do or those closet to them and everyone else will yell retreat & run! Haha! Today, God has used the book & cds Dr Betty wrote to minister healing all over the world & offer real encouragement to people that our God really does watch over His word to perform it! So, again with great joy and expectancy, let us together stay dressed in our full battle array (Ephesians 6), contend for the faith (Jude 3) and walk through the fire; knowing that we win! there are so many thing in my mind and in my heart about what you ment for me and my family. I always saw God shining in your life...in good times and hard times. We were so delighted to have seen you in Budapest in September and now we are astounded and yet, not at all surprised as to how you and your family are approaching this journey. Dear Jim & Nancy. Sometimes things happens to people and we wonder why things happens with us, and knowing you that thought will not stay long in your mind before "Lulu" is banned. It brings me to a preacher that prayed for a lot of people and they got healed, but when he got sick he did not receive healing. He did land in hospital and it was only when he was there he could reach out to people who had appointments with God. My point is to look for the reason for this unexpected journey. I'm sure there are people who's life you and Nancy will touch where you would not have the opportunity to meet in normal circumstances. When me and my husband found out that Jim had cancer, we were both shocked. After we found out, I went to our parish Saint Joachim Catholic Church and had them put Jim's name on their prayer of the faithful list, under the column of people who are sick who needs our prayers. On Sunday December 5th, a mass was said for Jim.We just wanted to let you know, our prayers and thoughts are with you on this journey.

"Impossible" was the first word that came to our mind, when we read this post by you....You and Nancy have always inspired us to do our best in life through lots of CD's that we keep listening to. Our prayers are with you all..
Jeanette and I will of course be following "your journey" as we can certainly relate to this new awakening.
We all to well understand about the ride one embarks on while battling with cancer.
Having spent over 30 years doing medical research for others, this particular venture has challenged me deeply.
Jeanette, my wife started her journey back in September of this year with the news of breast cancer.
With operations in October and chemotherapy treatments that started in November, this journey has challenged the best of us.
There have been numerous speed bumps along the way but we manage to smooth them out and move forward.
Radiation treatments will follow and then hormonal therapy as well.
We will walk many miles together to beat this disease and help others along the way with our knowledge and prayers.

To have such incredible faith and optimism and to describe it as an amazing chapter of your life is truly incredible. First, thank you for sharing your journey (and your story over the years) with us. We have "lived" with you and Nancy for so many years and we wouldn't change a thing. We love, respect and admire you so much more than you can know. While God's reasons for this seem utterly impossible to fathom, we know that absolutely everyone in the wonderful world of Amway and Network 21 and no doubt many more "on the outside" as well are praying for you 24/7. Jim, you are a giant among men. You and Nancy have changed the world but your work is not finished - not by a long shot. We know you will deal with this and come back better than ever.

We woke the morning after we heard with a heavy heart, a small knot in our stomachs, a mind of positive anticipation and prayers on our lips. This is for both of you, since while part of the challenge is obviously Jim's, both of you will travel this journey together. We hope you will gain some small comfort in knowing that there are thousands if not millions who will let the power of prayer provide all the support that God intends. But having just about to come to the 2nd anniversary of being breast cancer free, we want to in some small way pay it forward and pay it back. The both of you, especially Nancy were and are an inspiration, comfort and support to both of us, especially Colleen. First at Go Diamond 2009 where the photo of Nancy's finger in Larry's chest (in a loving caring way!) is even today the wallpaper of Colleen's iPhone. Nancy's words, thoughts, CDs, book and no doubt prayers gave us the focus, the perspective, the support, the attitude and spirit that not only the business but life would work out if we did. And then at Go Diamond 2010 where we could even briefly thank you and you inscribed a book for Colleen.
Now you will have so many well wishers and prayers. But please know that we have a special place in our heart, minds, spirit and prayers first thing each morning to give you both strength and the wisdom to tackle the challenge, first one day at a time, doing what each day demands, then step by step to do those things that may be heart wrenching, and Nancy, Larry knows how painful it is to watch, sometime almost helpless to assist. But know that Jim, as Colleen did, gain comfort by knowing the most important person in the world would do anything to change places.
We know that the best medical and support will be at your disposal, but please draw comfort in prayer and companionship, that when medical and physical seems not to be doing things as quickly as we'd like, that mind and spirit will make each moment allow you to move to the next moment, the next day and the many weeks and months ahead.
The web site will save you a lot repeating the same messages over and over. We believe you will find it a great source of communication and comfort. You will be on an emotional roller coaster. When sleep is not possible you can take great comfort in reading messages of love and encouragement.
We also ended up with an abbreviation or acronym we'd like to share with you and signed every note and card - PSL - Prayers, Support and Love.

When we began "doing life together" over 30 years ago, who could have imagined some of the pathways on the journey. Praise God He works all things together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
The words we lived by when we were going Diamond came from "God's Little Instruction Book" were: "And they that know Thy name will put their trust in thee: for Thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek Thee. Psalm 9:10. Paraphrased "My job is to take care of the possible and trust God with the impossible."

Its so strange that my dad ( based in India ) also got diagnosed with esoephagel cancer last week. I had never heard about this form of cancer and now 2 in a row to people that I love , admire and respect.
